Yanni Hufnagel Success as a Basketball Coach

Yanni Hufnagel is a Jew from Scarsdale, New York state. He was born on the 26th of August in 1982. He served as a basketball coach in American colleges. He also worked under Eric Musselman, as his assistant coach. The two managed Nevada Wolf Pack men`s basketball team. Yanni Hufnagel was an assistant coach for the Harvard Crimson, California Golden Bears and Vanderbilt Commodores. Hufnagel was successful in training college students in basketball. He was also one of the best recruiters.

Hufnagel played lacrosse for Scarsdale High School Raiders, where he was the team captain. He played as a defenseman on a lacrosse team at Pennsylvania State University, where he attended for one year. He transferred to Cornell University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. Yanni earned his master`s degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma.

Yanni Hufnagel started reading books while he was still young. He read all coaching books that he could access. Hufnagel used figurines to assimilate the games and various styles of play that were described in the books.

Yanni Hufnagel later worked for a public television in his town, where he called games for the local teams. His broadcast partner described him as an ambitious person who would become a sports announcer or a coach.

Yanni Hufnagel became a basketball manager in his first year at Cornell University. Yanni got an internship with the New Jersey Nets during the summer. After graduating, Yanni started coaching the Nets. Jeff Capel, the Nets` head coach, was looking for an assistant. Yanni applied for the position and was offered the job.

In 2009, Capel recommended Hufnagel to Harvard`s head coach. Yanni accepted the offer and worked as a volunteer assistant coach. He started recruiting new players immediately after he acquired the job. Yanni has since gained a good reputation as a basketball coach.
