Often times, the most celebrated businessmen aren’t the best in the business. There are dozens of popular real estate entrepreneurs but none have such a prestigious presence as Todd Lubar. Todd Lubar’s accomplishments are most reflected by those he’s helped and by the success of his companies.
For Mr. Lubar, it all started in 1995 when he got a job as one of Crestar Mortgage Corporation’s loan originators. From day-one of his career, it became apparent that he had a natural gift for the work. Within a year, he’d learned everything he could about the industry’s conservative mortgage banking model.
According to Patch, after working with Crestar for four years, Lubar moved on to an equity position at Legacy Financial Group. At Legacy, he had more opportunities and options when it came to lending. His Legacy position allowed him to broker loans with untraditional investors. He could also lend money as a direct mortgage bank.
Although Legacy Financial offered more experience, he only spent three years with the company. In 2002, he took a big step and founded his own company. Legendary Properties, LLC started out as a small residential development company. Within a year, it had facilitated over 200 profitable transactions.
A major part of that success was owed to Lubar’s source of referral business. Since his days with Crestar, he’d been building countless relationships with real estate agents, CPAs, financial planners, and insurance agents. Those relationships allowed him to complete all of his projects fairly quickly.
Since opening Legendary Properties, Lubar’s experienced success in many other ventures. He currently owns businesses in several industries, including the nightclub, recycling, and demolition industries. Throughout his career, one thing remained the same; his love for helping others.
In a recent interview, he talked about the inspiration behind his latest venture. Todd always viewed the credit and finance industry as a way to help people; not rob them of their life savings. After spending 20 years in the credit and finance business, he decided to help those struggling to get loans. Visit his about.me page to learn more.
