The move aims at transforming the society to a community that puts the interest of immigrants first. They train their members on ways to change the public policy and perception toward the refugee’s freedom in the foreign land.

The organization was formed after the passing of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act. This motion prohibited citizens from employing undocumented staffs since this was a way of exploiting and abusing their rights.

After winning the case against Joe Arpaio who was a sheriff, they spent the settlement to fund a human rights movement. The two agreed to support the migrant associations in Arizona.

Mike and Jim received unfair treatment at the hands of police for publishing content concerning the law enforcers. The activists were forced out of their homes at night during the arrest. They won against the sheriff and received compensation for the harsh treatment. They formed the Frontera Fund to promote local and immigrants’ rights.
